Connecting Craft, Culture and Community at HQ2O

We’re excited to invite the public to take part in our weekly Currach Building Sessions, a unique opportunity to experience one of Ireland’s oldest maritime traditions brought to life.

For over 2,000 years, the currach has been central to life along Ireland’s coasts and rivers — a testament to innovation, resilience and craftsmanship. At HQ20, we’re proud to continue this legacy through a hands‑on programme that blends boatbuilding, the Irish language, and rowing.
